This beautifully decorated French gilt full-length mirror features a large and ornate shell cartouche at the top as well as floral carvings and scroll work at each side, corner and surrounding the cartouche. The mirror is in good shape, with one area of loss to the reflective coating on the upper right side, measuring about 3" wide and 1.25" tall (shown). There is general age and spotting to the rest of the mirror. There are losses to the carvings and the frame (shown), mostly in the delicate plaster carvings, however, there is a more significant loss to the frame on the lower right hand side of the frame (shown).
