Baofeng UV-82 HP is a compact dual-band radio operating in the VHF and UHF bands. It easily tunes to shared frequencies in VHF and UHF bands, marine frequencies, repeaters, PMR channels, and more. This radio is compatible with headsets and PTT buttons with a Kenwood 2-pin connector. The Baofeng UV-82 HP allows operation in the VHF range of 136-174 MHz and UHF range of 400-520 MHz. This makes it ideal for a wide range of uses including amateur broadcasting, airsoft games, and other outdoor activities. The dual-band display allows monitoring of two frequencies simultaneously, which is useful for monitoring various channels. The dual watch function monitors two frequencies at once, ensuring you don't miss any important communication. The dual PTT button (A/B) provides even greater control over both channels simultaneously. The Baofeng UV-82 HP is equipped with a modern DPS processor for signal processing and offers switchable power of 8W/5W/1W for VHF and 7W/4W/1W for UHF. The radio also has the ability to switch between high and low power and features 128 memory channels. It offers a wide selection of 50 CTCSS and 104 DCS options for clear and uninterrupted transmission. Other useful features include the ability to name memories when programming via PC, a VOX function with 10 sensitivity levels, colorful backlighting (3 color options), and an adjustable squelch in 9 levels. The radio also includes the option to select channel width (Wide/Narrow), functions such as ANI-ID, PTT-ID, Power Save to save battery, and a sensitive FM radio with the option to listen to the radio while monitoring the channel simultaneously. The radio is equipped with an LED flashlight, voice navigation in English and Chinese, an LCD display, a low battery indicator, a Roger beep function, a time-out timer, and a keypad lock function.
